Several weeks ago I said I would post information from Ryerson's press releases about that school's penalty-filled series against Army, I think it was. As it turns out, that's the one week's release I didn't get! However, the release that covered the following week's games talked about how shorthanded Ryerson was because of suspensions, etc. Didn't detail exactly what they were. For whatever reason, the CIAU (Canada's NCAA) is sending me weekly releases for all winter varsity sports. In the latest one, Ryerson is 2-16-2 in the Ontario Universities Athletic Association Midwest division. The team has scored 77 goals in league play and given up 158. Last week, Ryerson lost 20-4 and 13-1. The release is very basic, but very informative. It lists league games only in the records for the various league and division, plus all the previous week's scores and the top scorers and goaltenders As an FYI, this is the current ranking with last week's ranking in parenthesis: 1. Lethbridge (2) 2. Acadia (1) 3. Calgary (3) 4. Wilfred Laurier (4) 5. Dalhousie (5) 6. Western ONtario (6) 7. Alberta (7) 8. Regina (8) 9. Ottawa (10) 10. University of Quebec-Trois Rivieres (9). |--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--| | Lynn Burke Newport News, Va. | | [log in to unmask] -- mail still shows [log in to unmask] | |--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|
