Well, Ohio State no longer is a team with only one win at home as Mike pointed out earlier in the week. OSU knocked off Ferris State at the Ice Rink this evening by a score of 5-3. 1 2 3--T FSU 1 1 1--3 OSU 1 1 3--5 Shots 1 2 3--T FSU 11 15 13-39 OSU 15 12 11-38 Power Plays FSU 1 for 3 OSU 3 for 4 Goalies FSU, Lisko 37 shots, 33 saves OSU, Brown 39 shots, 36 saves. Well, FSU fans can make goaltender Craig Lisko the goat in this one. It was a pretty evenly and cleanly (unusualy for OSU) played game but the difference was that Kurt Brown stood on his head again (counting Saturday's 47 save performance at BGSU he is 83 for his 87 shots) while Lisko let in two very soft goals for the difference in the game. (OSU's last goal was an empty net goal.) OSU's second goal was scored when a defenseman floated a soft wrister from the right point that was going well wide of the cage. Lisko came out of the crease to play it in the air, but it deflected off of Sascha Guilbeault in front and bounced in behind Lisko. The game-winner was scored when Craig Patterson came out from behind the FSU net to Lisko's left with a defenseman draped on him. He half-heartedly backhanded the puck along the ice toward the goal. The puck appeared to hit Brian Riedel's skate and go between Lisko's legs. It was moving slow enough that it seemed that Lisko had time to react, but didn't and it cost the Bulldogs tonight in Columbus. The Bucks have now won three straight and face Illinois-Chicago tomorrow night in Columbus. Four in a row would be unprecedented. The band sent four trombone players to the game tonight for the first "pep-band" I have ever seen at the Ice Rink...maybe if they win a few more they will send a couple trumpets. :-) Dave Smith
