Coupla notes on my recap of last night's game. First off, it was Craig Conroy, not Tuomainen, who scored Clarkson's 5th goal, a shorthanded marker. Also, Chad Quenville's hat trick was a natural one and he completed it in under 4 minutes. Providence had two goals waved off. One right at the end of the first period; the ref ruled the green light had came on and the period ended before the goal was scored. The second was in the last minute, with the PC goalie on the bench and the goal was waved off because there was a man in the crease. As for the first goal, I believe it was the correct call since the green light came on a second or two before the PC players lifted their sticks and since the ref was in perfect position to call it. But since it was at the other end of the ice, I couldn't be certain. The second call was DEFINITELY the right one, despite PC coach Mike McShane's harsh comments in the paper (something _to the effect_ that it was a high school call). I HEARD the whistle blow a good second or so before the red light came on. I heard it blow before the man in the crease, who also scored the goal, even received the puck.
