Harvard played marginally better than Dartmouth to squeeze out a 2 to 1
victory in ECAC action tonight at Bright Hockey Center.

A few interesting notes about the Crimson:

o Steve Martins was benched for this game and watched it in civilian
clothes from the stands. Reportedly, Coach Tomassoni was extremely
displeased with Martins' play the previous night against Vermont,
having committed a number of unneccessary, dumb penalties. The
grapevine from the team said that Coach even singled ma
Martins out as the reason for the lack of a victory against UVM.

o Philpott has apparently returned to action tonight (don't know if
he played last night), to roaring approval from the crowd, who
continues to exhort Ethan to go out and kill members of the opposing
team. He again seemed to be playing up to the crowd and forgetting
about hockey. IMO, he's more of a liability out there on the ice,
and it will be interesting to see if he returns after the exam break.

o Tom Holmes is out for ??? with what seems to be a serious knee injury.
He was in civvies and on crutches for the game. I was told it was
a torn ACL and he will be scoped. Ouch.

I'll leave the game details to Richard...
