Erik has correctly summarized the upcoming NC$$ finals, assuming the 1999 date is correct. >The schedule for the next several years, if I have it correctly, is: >1994 St. Paul >1995 Providence >1996 Cincinnati >1997 Milwaukee >1998 Boston >1999 Anaheim A question, and two comments. 1.Does anyone have an idea of how/who/on what basis these selections are made? Albany has been struggling to find events with which to fill the Knick, and college hockey is a very major priority. Yet there hasn't been anything in the Albany press about how its bid has fared. And I know that a return of the NC$$'s to Albany remains the overriding goal of the local sports booster club. Isn't there some kind of convention where bids are presented? Or should I assume the whole process is nothing but politics and money. :-| 2. Although I know Mike doesn't agree, the NC$$ uses a rotation in siting the phinal phour with the East getting the tournament every third year. It used to be East, Joe Louis, West, but the Joe has seemed to lost some of its allure. The 2000 tournament will go to Michigan or Ohio, 2001 will be back here in the East, preferably Albany. 3. Anaheim? Is there a single college in California that plays hockey? Who will attend the tournament? Is this really the pilot for a sequel to Walt Disney's Mighty Ducks, with the kids having grown up and opted for college instead of the Junior A's? (no slight intended to Stan out there in Southern California) ******************************************************* _ "NYS // Hockey" Go 'Gate // Brian Morris Go RPI // Albany, NY ______// [log in to unmask] (______/
