Denying the fans of the WCHA the opportunity to have a weekend series with an out of conference WCHA team at your home arena twice, like the current system is unfair. Its unfair for the traveling players to jump on a bus right after the game and travel to another city for tomorrows game. Certainly there are some exceptions NMU and MTU splitting a weekend series. If the WCHA expands and forms 3 conferences, any non confernce WCHA team will have to fly to Anchorage and then already exhausted travel to Fairbanks for the next game the following day. The same can be said for UAA to travel to North Dakota and then fly or take a bus to Duluth. Then Mr. Olson from MTU said, something to the effect that he forsee's 2 game sets with non conference opponents in altering years. That would certainly be exciting not to get to see Wisconsin or Minnesota play in Marquette for a year, I'Msure the MTU fans wouldn't like this format either. The WCHA is not like the ECAC and the CCHA, it covers a vast area where travel is expected but not expected to be altered in such radical ways. Allowing UAF to join the WCHA will create a scheduling headache. The WCHA will have to look at these factors close
