Clarkson defeated St Lawrence for the sixth straight time, tonight, in
Canton. Actually, it was the sixth straight time overall, just the
second straight in Canton.

After SLU failed to score on two early power plays, Clarkson took
a 1-0 lead on a scrum in front. Clarkson made it 2-0 before the period
was over. Clarkson dominated the first period.

SLU owned the second period. CU goalie Jason Currie stood on his
head this period despite allowing 2 goals.

The Golden Knights looked very disorganized for most of the
third period and SLU put on a lot of pressure but Currie stood
firm. Late in the third, on a two on two, Chris Lipsett centered
the puck to I beleive it was Jerry Rosenheck who tipped it by
SLU goalie Paul Spagnoletti for the icing on the cake.

Both goalies played fairly well and made several clutch saves.

One noticable thing was SLU's crashing the net with reckless
abandon. They could have (and should have) gotten several penalties
for running Currie in the crease. In one tinstance, a SLU player
cross checked Currie. Fortuantely, Currie decked the guy (Mike
Allain) back. I expected a penalty on Currie and to another Clarkson
player for roughing up Allain afterwards but no penalty was assesed
on SLU. In fact, SLU only got one penalty for crashing the net,
and that was late in the game.

Another noticable thing was linesman Larry Legault's staunch
moral opposition to dropping the puck immediately. At least
a dozen times, this was the case. Quite annoying.

Clarkson goes to 5-4-1 and SLU drops to 6-4. Clarkson is
3-2-1 in ECAC play. I think SLU is 4-2.
