Shawn Bates scored a goal just 3 minutes into the game and Doug Friedman
added another midway through the second period as the Terriers held on
for the win last night in Providence. The story of the game was special
teams: BU goalie J.P. McKrsie notched 34 saves, and the Terriers' penalty-
killing unit held Brown scoreless despite habing 8 power plays. Scott
Humber tallied for the Bears 8 minutes into the 3rd period to make it
2-1. BU improves to 9-3-0 overall now (4-2 in Hockey East) and Brown falls
5-3-2 overall, (5-2-1 in the ECAC). BU will look to build upon their
5-game winning streak when they square off with Boston College Saturday
night at the Heights.
