I will defer to Jeremy Hall for more info on the various leagues, divisions, rankings, etc. I believe there was an extensive post last year detailing all of the above. I can say that at the Div I level, the national championship is an eight team invitational tourney with the host team receiving an automatic bid. The teams are divided into two groups of four for round-robin play, then the top two teams from each group advance to single elimination play. I believe the following to be a complete list of Division I teams for 1993-94: American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I Eastern Michigan University * Iowa State University * Lehigh University Marquette University * North Dakota State University-Fargo Ohio University * Pennsylvania State University Purdue University * SUNY-Buffalo Towson State University United States Naval Academy University of Arizona University of Colorado-Boulder University of Delaware University of Denver University of Illinois-Champaign * University of Maryland University of Michigan-Dearborn * University of Minnesota-Twin Cities * University of Pennsylvania University of Rhode Island University of Toledo * University of Wisconsin-Stout University of Wisconsin-Whitewater * Washington University West Chester University West Virginia University Teams denoted with an asterisk are members of the Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL). Eastern Michigan has also scheduled games this season against Northwood Univ and Central Michigan Univ. EMU also appeared in a tournament with club teams from Ferris State and Kent. This past weekend, EMU split a pair of games at Penn State, both 6-3 I believe. John H U Mich
