ORONO -- The University of Maine women split their first two hockey
games of the season with an 8-0 shutout win over Massachusetts Institute
of Technology Sunday and a 5-3 loss to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
on Saturday.
 
On Sunday, Donna Miles had a hat trick to lead the 1-1 Black Bears to
the win.  Amanda Moors had two goals and two assists, Stacey Rondeau had
two goals and an assist, and Susie Williams added a goal.  Holly Rook
notched the shutout.
 
For 0-1 MIT, Allison MacKay was the goaltender.
 
On Saturday, Anne Hill scored three goals to lead RPI past Maine.  Lynn
Mizanko and Cathy Urbach each scored one goal.
 
Amanda Moors and Sarah Perkins each had a goal and an assist for Maine.
Dana Miles added a goal.
