Beau Bilek of Air force scored on an early power play in the 1st period, but st
thomas was able to get the equalizer on one of their few forays into
the falcon end. Air force slept through the second period and St.
Thomas notched a go ahead goal to lead 2-1 after 2. Erik brown evened
it with a screen shot from about the top of the circles. Mark
DiGeronimo put the falcons ahead 3-2 by stealing a rebound from the St.
Thomas netminder and banging it home. Saint Thomas evened it at 3 on a
point blank one timer. Falcon freshman Greg Dumont put the falcons up
4-3 with a wraparound with about 4 minutes left. With about 3 minutes
left in the game, the falcons dumped the puck in. The st. thomas
goalie went behind the net to stop the puck, and on his way back
to the crease tripped a falcon forward. The call was against air
force for interference. St Thomas tied the game on the ensuing power
play, and air force was unable to score the winner in the final minute
of regulation or the extra period.
