Perhaps someone could enlighten me. Do the Alaska teams reimburse their opponents for shlepping all the way up to the the Great White North? Somehow I thought at one time that was the case-- as an inducement to get teams to schedule games on their home turf UAA and UAF would pay the travel expenses. Perhaps the CCHA and WCHA affiliation agreements changed this practice? Frankly I can't imagine how the presidents of the Western schools permit their hockey programs to spend all that money for travel to Alaska. I could never see an ECAC president agreeing to such scheduling. Not that I don't admire the tenacity of those Alaska teams, especially in putting up with those incredible road trips and the strain it must place on their academics. _ "NYS // Hockey" Go 'Gate // Brian Morris Go RPI // Albany, NY ______// [log in to unmask] (______/
