A view from the MTU side:

Karen did an outstanding commentary on the game. Thank you.

I agree with Karen: Bach and Ram both did outstanding jobs last night.

The penalty situation until the middle of third period was about right. Tech
still is committing some stupid and unwarranted penalties: there are some
players (only a very few) that can not use that pea (if they have one) between
their ears to realize that a cheap shot on an offender hurts their overall
effort. Last night, two of the three CC goals were on power plays. We beat
ourselves, particularly when our shooting and driving capability are sub-par
with the remainder of the league. Fortunately, we have RAM and equally talented
freshman backup goalie, Caraveggio. We don't need many goals to win but we
can not afford to spot the other team men on the ice in producing goals.

I was particularly surprised at the list that the Minnestoa newspaper
writer proposed forecasting the "all star" team for the WCHA which did not
include Jimmie Ram for goalie. Ram has consistenlay saved our bacon.

Our puck handling is improving but still has a ways to go. It's early in the
season and our players do have both talent and capability to improve. I am
looking forward to tonight's game against CC. I only wished it wasn't so
late here.
