This game was the most exciting of the season so far. Once again, the Tigers
got off to a shaky start, not scoring until the last minute of the first
period to go into intermission down 4-1. The second period was all CC,
though, as the Tigers scored 6 goals to turn the momentum their way and end
the period up 7-5. CC scored twice more in the third to seal the win, with
Alaska only getting in one last effort goal towards the end of the period,
the final score being 9-6 CC. With this win the Tigers maintain their
position at the top of the WCHA, two points ahead of Michigan Tech. Next
week CC hosts Tech in what could be the showdown of the goaltenders between
Ryan Bach, who after two slow starts this weekend is still doing well, and
Tech's Jamie Ram. Box score tomorrow.
