Lake Superior's Brian Rolston receives Bob Johnson Medallion: Brian Rolston was one of two individuals presented with the Bob Johnson Medallion during ceremonies at USA Hockey's Annual Meeting in Colorado Springs on June 11th. He received his medallion in recognition of excellent play during the 1993 World Junior Championship Tournament in Gavle, Sweden, where he helped lead the United States to a fourth place finish. Rolston is one of three USA Hockey players to have ever participated for three separate National Junior Teams. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Comments: First, apologies for any typos. With 14 drafted players (assuming Aaron Ward has played his final collegiate game), the 1993-94 Wolverines have the lowest total for Michigan in the past few seasons. With regards to the Olympic Festival, I understand from Jeff Weiss in the CCHA Office that its sole (at least primary) intention is to scout/develop/select the Junior National Team. I.e., if a player is going to the Olympic Festival, don't look for him on the Olympic Team. [Charlie, can you forward this to OLYMPUCK? Thanks.] Hopefully, more later. John H U Mich
