A comment on the offsides discussion:

Over the past couple of seasons at the University of Michigan, I have
noticed that *some* of the flagrant instances of intentionally pushing
an opposing player (who does not have the puck) offside have resulted
in interference penalties for the guilty defender. More often than
not, offsides is called ... to the dismay of the player pushed offside.

The new rule should prove interesting (if enforced).
