A while ago, it was noted that a photo of two Maine players, Snow and one other, was sold at a Maine hockey function, and Steve Kapetanakis made reference to the situation where Steve Alford of Indiana posed for a calendar that was sold and he was ruled ineligible. Kap wondered if this posed a problem in the Maine situation. The book I referred to in my previous post notes that the rule that prohibited student-athletes from posing in pictures to be sold was changed in 1988. I did not believe Maine would have allowed anything like this to be done were it known to be illegal, and now we know it was definitely ok. --- Mike Machnik [log in to unmask] Color Voice of the Merrimack Warriors alternate address days: [log in to unmask] *HMN* 11/13/93 (Any opinions expressed above are strictly those of the poster.)
