I was told that this will not be confirmed until sometime in July, but thought it was still worth a look: Oct. 22-23 Univ. Observations: * It sure would be exciting if the Olympic team came here! I'll definitely check into that. * Maybe I'm missing something really obvious here (like maybe something with Thanksgiving -- I don't have a university schedule with me right now) but why LSSU on a Tuesday? We usually have classes on Wed. before Thanksgiving, so why not Wed. night -- wait, the dorms would close during the game, and all on- campus ticket holders might not be able to make it. Hmm, could the athletic office actually be doing something (GASP!) for the students?!?!? (Reference to the 15,000 seat Breslin STUDENT Events Center, of which 12,500 hoops tickets are earmarked for ALUMNI -- hey, we get to pay for it though....). Well, enough about that. A Tuesday game just seemed odd. * What's this about Wisconsin and Minnesota on Nov. 26-27? Is this in addition to the proposed Big Ten Tournament, or some other event? Looks interesting, and I've never been to a hockey game at the Palace.... Speaking of the Big Ten tourney, is there any info available from the other schools that might partici- pate? Our ticket office said that there was no information (teams involved, location, etc) available, which made me wonder about this one. Anyone? * Who is in the GLI this year? Sorry to open this one up again (I didn't mean to start up another "Who belongs/what to call this tourney"). I guess that's it for now. I will try to find out more information about the possible Olympic team game(s?), but it will probably be awhile.... Special thanks to Dr. Keeney for steering me toward this info!!!!!
