hi, i'm not sure this isn't a stupid question, but it's off-season so i guess i can ask it. 8^) RPI's hockey team will return next year virtually intact, with only Al Kummu graduating. Thus, there probably won't be more than one (maybe zero?) freshmen on next year's team. Is there any way to get back to a balance between classes? (anything other than players' leaving early?) Is either situation (balance/imbalance) preferable? My guess is that for a program to have consistency a coach would want as even a by-year player breakdown as possible. also, does anyone have an idea how this imbalance came about? I thought it was because of the large number of players who left after the 84-85 season, but wouldn't that cause a disproportionately large number of freshmen to appear in 85-86, 89-90, and 93-94 (which is next season)... ? please clue me in if you know! ross **** go go goblins! ****
