What a way to end the season for the Tigers..... I didn't hear much of the game, but from the wrap up afterwards, it sounded like CC had bad luck with the refs being there at the wrong time. DU scored the only goal in the first period, and CC came back to tie it at 1 in the second, but midway through the second is when the Tiger's penalty troubles started. DU exploded and led 5-1 at the end of the second period. The Pioneers scored twice more in the third before CC was able to get their second goal, which by that point didn't make much of a dent in the score. DU finished of the scoring in the final 5 minutes to make it 8-2 at the buzzer, 4 of those 8 goals being power play goals. The one good thing to come out of this game for the Tigers is that though the frustration levels were high, no one was injured or DQed, which would've affected their performance in the first round of playoffs. Boxes to come for both games tomorrow. Karen Heasley Colorado College '95 [log in to unmask]
