While I tend to agree with John that the "right of refusal" method doesn't seem
quite fair, for UAF - at least - it ought to work to their advantage.  If one
of the top teams choose the Nanooks, they get a real motivator ("Miami thinks
we're easier than Notre Dame??!!" -- [sorry, Ric]).  On the other hand, if UAF
keeps getting passed down, they get an opening round game that might be more
"winnable."  Either way, UAF benefits.
 
BTW, granted UAF had a small CCHA schedule; still, based on the head-to-head
rating system, they appear to naturally fall into the 7th seed.
