Regarding the Cleveland tournament, Eric Rickin reports that he found
the Maine practice "boring" without the Ferraro brothers and Paul
Kariya. Minus these three freshmen, who are away playing in world
junior competition, Maine set an NCAA record over the holidays by
winning four tournaments (Alaska-Fairbanks Tourny, Great Western
Freeze Out, Cleveland Tournament, Dexter Classic) and upping its
record to 21-0-1. Lots of schools would like to have such a boring
team, I suspect.
