The Saints were able to rebound from last night's 6-1 drubbing by
the Friars to split the weekend series. Special teams were the
order of the day as the Saints power play emerged from its winter
slumber and found the net 4 times. SLU's penalty killers allowed
only two Friar goals, one of which was at 19:59 of the third with
the Providence net empty and a 6 on 4 advantage. SLU had a short
handed goal earlier in the period to make up for it. The third
period was an absolute shootout as the score was 2-1 SLU going
in and each team tallied 4 times.

SLU finally gets into the double digits with their 10th win and
snaps a 4-game winless skid. They finish their non-league play
for the season with a respectable 5-2-1 record out of the ECAC.
No time to relaz as they prepare for archrival Clarkson in a
home-and-home on the 23rd and 30th.
