In front of a packed Ice Pavilion, the Penn State Icers won their 17th straight
game, defeating the Michigan-Dearborn Wolves, 7-4. UMD got out to an early
lead, but Penn State would come back with a power play goal to tie it at one.
The two teams traded goals, and Penn State led 3-2 at the end of one. Each
team scored twice in the second, but Penn State score twice in the third to put
the game on ice (pun intended :^). The two teams square off again today at
3:30 PM. The Icers are 17-0-0, while Mich-Dearborn is now 12-6-1.

And, as a bonus, here's the ACHA Top 10:

Records as of 1/14/93. 10 Regional Reps vote on 20 teams (20-19-...-2-1).
Top eight teams in final poll get invitation to ACHA Nationals at NoDak St.
on March 3-6.

And a final question: just how much does it take for a coach to get a bench
minor/ejection? Mich-Dearborn coach Dave Rosteck left the bench TWICE and
came onto the ice to "protest" calls. Plus, he was sreaming at the officials
most of the game. Either these refs are the most cool, collected people I've
ever seen, or coaches can't get into trouble in the ACHA.
