The Terriers also tied and beat Providence. UNH picked up four points by sweeping Merrimack and moved from 5th to 3rd. BC picked up 3 of 4 points with a tie and a win against Northeastern; with Michael Spalla's goal with three seconds left to get BC a tie Friday, BC first-year coach Steve Cedorchuk avoided being put into the record books with his sixth straight loss, something no other BC coach has done. The three points enabled BC to climb from 7th into a tie for 5th. UMass-Lowell rebounded from a tough loss to BU by getting a hard- fought sweep at Alaska-Anchorage, playing well on the large ice surface. Next week, Maine and Providence will host North Country teams Clarkson and Providence, each for a pair. Other than a Tuesday night BC-Yale battle, the rest of the action takes place in the form of three home- and-home series between rivals BC and BU, Northeastern and UNH, and UMass-Lowell and Merrimack. Earlier this season, Northeastern won at UNH, 7-5, and BU won at home against BC, 7-4. The BU at BC game Friday will be shown live on NESN, and NESN will also show Saturday's Merrimack at UMass-Lowell game on tape delay the next night at 7 pm. --- Mike Machnik [log in to unmask] Color Voice of the Merrimack Warriors (Any opinions expressed above are strictly those of the poster.) *HMN*
