(Larry wrote about passing to your goalie). We've probably talked about this before, but it's my take that a goalie is usually pretty good at keeping the puck out of the net. Also, with the puck at center ice, the team on the power play tends to stay out of the offensive zone. A good swift pass back to the goalie is relatively safe ... and it is usually done while facing the goalie (a blind pass is rarely safe anywhere IMHO). I must have missed the goal that Larry Spoke about (Dexter Classic fans, and ushers :-), don't get "into" the games as they do in the regular season), so I can't talk about what went wrong on that specific play. Nicely, the Maine team had no such concentration problem! cheers, wayne Wayne Smith The College Hockey Discussion List administrator Systems Group - CAPS BITNET/CREN: wts@maine University of Maine System internet: [log in to unmask] P.S. If any hockey fans from the greater U Maine wish to support another rink in the area, let me know (off-line, please). There is a proposal, now just in the preliminary stages, for a new rink in nearby Bangor, probably on the campus of Husson College and probably integrated a/the swimming pool. (And just to connect this, now you know why I missed that goal!) :-)
