We're only an Ivy League institution after all--why should we do > things like check the goal lights BEFORE the game? I didn't include it in my account of Saturday's Denver-Northern Michigan game, but the goal lights not only weren't working at the start of the game--they weren't working for the first two periods! Much as I hate to say it, maybe that was a good thing for the Wildcats, given Brent Riplinger's game-tying goal at 20:00 of the second period. (As I did note in my account , however, two Wildcat goals were disallowed and even Doug Woog said after the period that they should have been allowed.)
