Still on power play, Brown managed to score again quickly to give Brown the lead and momentum through the rest of the game. If anyone cares, Gallagher (the ref.) slipped and slammed into the boards when he was trying to turn around. Game was delayed about a minute. (First time I've seen a ref. fall with no players around) Box score for Cornell 5 @ Brown 3 (I don't think it's been posted yet) 1 2 3 Total Records (doesn't include 12/5 games) Cornell Big Red 1 0 4 5 3-4 ECAC, 3-5 Overall Brown Bears 0 2 1 3 2-2-1 ECAC, 2-3-1 Overall 1st period scoring: C, Bumstead (Hannah) 11:10 2nd period scoring: B, B Kaban (unassisted) 6:45 B, Mulhern (O'Brien, Trach) 12:49 (pp) 3rd period scoring: C, McManus (Sancimino, Lopatka) 3:27 C, Hannah (Scollan, Chartrand) 4;27 C, Hammond, (Vogel, Lopatka) 18:16 B, Beck (Jones, Hanley) 19:19 C, Vogel (Hannah, Belzile) 19:58 (empty net) Penalties: B, 1/2--2/12--0/0; C, 2/4--2/4--1/2 Shots on Goal: Brown 8-18-16=42; Cornell 7-11-16=34 Goalies: B, Mike Parsons; C, Andy Bandurski Attendance: 2,137 Notes: Coach Gaudet must have been mad at our 2 normal goalies--he started freshman goalie Mike Parsons. He did a good job the first two periods, but seemed to falter during the third period. It was annoying to see Brown lose 3 games in a row by 2 goals (each game had 1 empty net goal). I hope Brown follows its usual trend of doing better later in the season. last note: These are my final box scores (not that I've done many). I'm graduating this month. --- Cloo '92.5 Bitnet : st801964@brownvm Internet: [log in to unmask]
