One ECAC score I did not see a final for was the Red's 5-3 win in Providence. From the radio it sounded like the game was played in a very warm building on mushy ice. I lack the box, but included in the final is a 6th attacker goal for Brown, and a EN goal by Jason Vogel for Cornell at 19:58. The Red scored 4 third period goals to overcome a 2-1 hole, and got a very badly needed 2 points as they close out the fall half of the schedule in Bright tonight vs. the Crimson. One comment on exciting games. Someone mentioned the RPI/Cornell game in 1985 and commented on the goaltending. While that was good, I might add the 1989 Cornell-Clarkson playoff game #2 at Walker. This game was a 0-0 tie in which Corrie D'lesio and the Clarkson tender (sorry I forget his name) both had unbelievable games, given the pressure of the situation. I remember feeling for the Clarkson tender as he was a senior in his last game who had the game of his life and it was not good enough to save his team. This game included a late powerplay for the Knights, which was stoned with complete chaos in the Red zone. Also in this same game, Casey Jones had the ignomy of hitting the post on a breakaway-- on the open net. For me personally, this was one of the more amazing games I have seen, but I am biased, as it turned out in my teams favor. William Sangrey Cornell '87&'93? Let's Go RED!!!!
