I think I recall an incident wherea High School player from Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin was killed by a slap shot a year or two ago. My memory is a bit fuzzy, maybe someone from the Wisconsin crowd has more information. Clearly injuries such as these are rare. My best wishes go out ot Mark and his family ily and friends, let's all hope for a speedy and full recovery. BTW the worst hockey injury I have witnessed, was when I was very small. I only remember that the game was at Harvard the player had somehow got a stick into his hamstring and it came out through his thigh. Maybe someone else recalls this better than I. It was quite a shock to a small child (6 or 7) to watch him awkwardly taken off the ice on a stretcher with a stick through his leg. Sorry about the grim subject matter maybe someone is interested... -Ryan Stone Lawrence University (Appleton, WI) '93 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute '93 ---------------------------------- -------------------------------------- | RYAN G.
