If I didn't like a team before, it's silly to like them now. No, it's neither hypocritical nor stupid nor fickle. I view the other WCHA teams as rivals rather than enemies, at least after the season is done and the NC$$ playoffs have begun. :-) It's like having a brother or sister that you don't always get along with, but whom you will support in a dispute outside the family. That's why I was cheering for Northern Michigan in the NC$$ championship game in the St. Paul Civic Center last year. I would have preferred to see Minnesota there, but in the absence of Gophers I favored the WCHA representative. I must confess that I would have a hard time cheering for Wisconsin under the same circumstances, but there is a rivalry within my own family involved. :-) Other factors can, of course, affect my support. I was cheering for Clarkson in the Civic Center last spring because of the HOCKEY-L members in the Clarkson band. -- Erik
