More details and a box score in the morning.... Wisconsin beat Duluth 4-1 in strange game. It was 0-0 after 1, 1-0 Wisconsin after 2. In the first 2 periods, the teams played ~14 minutes of 5-on-5 hockey. Duluth had 9 powerplays and 9 shots on goal inthe first 2 periods. Despite the number of penalities, it wasn't a cheap game. The ref (Jim Berlow?) called a tight game, until the third. With the score tied 1-1, Wisconsin's Dan Plante got the game-winner on a nice breakaway. Duluth pulled their goalie with ~1:05 left. Wisconsin scored, and then scored one more on a scramble in front of the net. --david -------- david parter university of wisconsin -- madison [log in to unmask] computer sciences department
