Kearney had the only goal of the 1st period as UVM took a 1-0
lead into the lockerroom. The period was pretty even otherwise.

The 2nd period was one of the best of the year for the Knights. They
were hitting, skating and checking. They made even strength situations
seem like powerplays. Conroy got a goal at 4:56 on a 5-on-3 to tie the
score. 12 minutes later, Marchant broke in on a 1-on-4 situation
and somehow managed to flip a backhand over the shoulder of Soucy
who was caught leaning.

However, the Catamounts capitalized on their chances in the 3rd with
a PPG by Larkin to tie the score. Ducharme later scored the game-winning
goal. Late in the 3rd Clarkson got a power play and pulled Chris Rogles
to get a 6-on-4 advantage. Soucy made a series of wonderful saves including
a series where he stopped four shots right in a row. With about a minute
left, Marchant got the puck out of a pile in front and lifted it
past Soucy for what appeared to be the game tying goal but it was
waved off because the ref had blown the whistle upon losing sight of the
puck (before the goal). Beckman added the empty net insurance goal.
Clarkson drops to 15-6-1 overall.

IN OTHER NEWS
During the 2nd intermission, Clarkson AD Bill O'Flaherty announced that
Clarkson has added Maine to its schedule for next year. Apparently Clarkson
and SLU have signed a four year deal with Maine and Providence with the
deal looking as follows:

1992-93:	Clarkson at Maine (2 games)
		SLU at Providence (2 games)

1993-94, 1995-95: Maine and Providence come up to Clarkson and SLU
for one game at each place.

1994-95:	Clarkson at Providence (2 games)
		SLU at Maine (2 games)

O'Flaherty also hinted that CU was close to completing a deal with an
unspecified CCHA team for a game next year. That team plus Maine
would replace Northeastern and Lowell on the Knights schedule.
