In a postgame ceremony, WCHA Commissioner Otto Breitenbach presented the Gophers with the MacNaughton Cup. The Cup, for those who haven't seen it, is the most beautiful trophy in all of college sports. It was quite a sight to see the Gophers carrying it in triumph around the rink. As a Gopher fan, I would like to express my appreciation to Rick Comley and Northern Michigan University for sending the Cup to Minnesota so it could be in Mariucci Arena on the night the Gophers won the championship. -- Erik
