In the third period after Bowdoin scored their 6th goal, Peter Verrier of Holy Cross ran straight into Polar Bear netminder Tom Sablak after the play had been whistled dead. Charlie Gaffney went right for Verrier and received two minutes. Although punches were thrown in this brawl consisting of two players from each side, no player received a game DQ. As far as scoring was concerned, Bowdoin rebound from 2-1 and 3-2 deficits to score the last 5 goals at home in this ECAC East victory. I believe the BU game on January 4 really helped the Polar Bears in this one. Bowdoin actually backchecked in this game(!) which they didn't do at all against BU. With the win over Holy Cross, Bowdoin improves its record to 4-3 (3-2 in ECAC). Thanks to Craig Cheslog for giving me detailed info about this and Saturdays game. He's trying to get net access so he can get on this list himself but things move slowly in Maine. Pete _______________ +-------+ Peter J.
