Friday MTU 3 St Cloud 0

Geoff Seargent recorded the shutout, but 1/2 the credit has to go to
Kirby Perreault, defenseman, as he swept a puck off the Red line
         that had beaten Seargent.

Coach Brown went with a hot Goaltender as he played Seargent in both
Games. The only goal he allowed all series he poked-checked a centering
Pass coming out from behind the net and it hit a player and bounced over
his left shoulder. SCS hammered away at MTU for 2 periods, but Geoff
stood tall, stopping everything but the kitchen sink.

In the 3rd period John Young scored the tying goal on a penalty shot
as Buzz ruled the SCS goalie threw his stick at a shot as he was out
of position. Here is where Buzz lost it.... The linesman set the puck
down at center ice, and with buzz paying no attention Young skated all
the way in deked the goalie and tucked the puck in on the right side.
Buzz realized what was happening only after Young had scored, and ruled
it no play. He returned to the scorers table for a sec then back to the
goalline where he whistled Young on. Young skated in and buried it high
to the left side this time. This sparked the MTU Huskies as they scored
4 unanswered goals in the 3rd for the sweep.

Freshman defenseman Liam Garvey Sprained his right Knee Friday night
and missed Saturday's game, and looks to be out next weekend as the
         Huskies travel to Minnesota.
