This morning's Bangor Daily News reports that U Maine's Sophomore goalie Mike Dunham has left for St. Cloud, Minn. to try out with the U.S. Olympic Hockey Team. According to the paper, Team USA and Team Canada will play both Friday and Saturday night, and on Sunday Peterson and his staff will decide whether to include Dunham as one of the 3 goalies they'll take to the Olympics. Art Berglund, director of player personnel is quoted as saying, "Mike Dunham played himself into the the Olympic picture during the World Junior Championships. He proved himself at a very high level. He showed he is capable of giving us the kind of short-term goaltending that could win us a medal. The type of goaltending he gave us at the World Juniors was the difference between a medal and no medal. He came up big and deserves a chance at the next level while he's hot and confident in himself." ... if I could be like Mike ... John Grover Computing Center University of Maine
