My guess, Ross, is that no individual player, coach or athletic director wants to start action against Pierre, whether disciplinary or impeaching or otherwise, because nobody wants to get on the bad side of the referees. What if Pierre is exonerated, and returns to referee a game involving the team that brought action against him? Referees are quite capable (although I'm sure it's rare) of affecting a game to the point where a particular team is at enough of a disadvantage to lose, without "breaking" any of the rules of refereeing. And if Pierre is found to be incompetent as a referee by the NC!!, how do you think referees as a community would react? As I understand it, Pierre has a great deal of respect from the other referees in the ECAC. I don't think anybody is going to bring action against Pierre unless he makes a call so blatantly wrong that the coach of the team that the call FAVORS protests the call. And how soon do you think that's going to happen? -- Jeffrey "BJ" Anbinder [log in to unmask] The Sexiest Man in Ithaca Radio [log in to unmask] "Who'd have thought?
