In the first period, Kent State got off to a good start, scoring two goals in the first five minutes. However, at the end of the period, the Seawolves led 3-2, thus having scored three unanswered goals in the period. Two of these goals were scored by the all freshman line (!) In the second period, the Seawolves held off a fierce wall of power plays, with Kent State having at least two 5-3 power plays. Finally, Kent State did score...though I'm unsure if it was on a power play... UAA responded with three unanswered goals to end the second period with a 6-3 lead. Kent State replaced goalies, putting Paul Dickson (sp) in at 18:55 of the third. UAA scored another goal before surrendering one to Kent State at 12:55 of the period. UAA scored once again, and Kent State responded a second time with a goal, closing UAA's lead to 8-5, where it stood at the end the game. One interesting note was that Keith Morris' had two blue line goals in the third period... Though any road win is good, I think that the Seawolve's coaching staff will be taking a hard look at their surrendering an average of 4 goals a game for the road games. The Seawolves are now 7-0-0 on the road, and 11-2-0 overall. [log in to unmask] asslk@alaska
