In a local paper ( and do I mean local), there was a little squib about
licensing Zamboni Drivers.

From the North Country This Week:
Maryland has decided to license Zamboni drivers. They are the
first state to do so. The bill was pushed by Gov. Donald Schaefer, after
he went to a hockey game and figured that the state could make lots of
money by licensing the drivers. They will distribute "Class-Z" licenses.
To get one requires a written and driving exam. It will cost $40/yr. to
get one.

I'd like to see someone try to do that in Northern NY, Mass, or
Minn. That would be interesting.
