I think another issue in any reorganization of the conferences now will be the new NCAA limits on games. The WCHA had just added St. Cloud State and now has each team playing 32 conference games. That doesn't leave much room on the schedule for non-conference play. If the WCHA were to switch to a format with only 2 games with each other team in the conference, then there might be room for the Alaska schools as well as some sort of interlocking schedule with the CCHA. Ironically, the cutback in games may have brought things to the point where it's more likely the WCHA would consider adding teams to the conference. Pam
