What a boost for our program! I'm sure that everyone coming up will be very impres- sed with the Carlson Center, the 'Nooks' home arena. It has an Olympic-sized sheet and it drew rave reviews from some of the teams that came up last year. Kind of sad to see the Christmas break games with such powerhouses as Wisconsin and Minnesota not on this year's schedule. I've kind of grown used to them in the past two or so seasons. I am glad to see Denver returning. We played host to them two seasons ago and they showed us a thing or two about big-time college hockey. Now I guess they can skate bigger circles around us on the bigger ice. ;-) Definately the new NCAA scheduling regulations have helped us. In the future, maybe we can attract even bigger names, such as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Lake Superior State (their women's basketball team played up here last season), and Northern Michigan. Am I pipe dreaming on this? Hey, a guy can wish, can't he? Thanks to Kip Harmon, Assistant Athletic Director, for providing me a copy of the schedule. Chris Barrett Go Nooks in 91-92! Hoping the Cubs finally put the pieces together and win the NL East!
