Yup. The rowdy student general admission section is directly behind the visitor's bench. They've been known to give opposing teams a hard time. It's a relatively recent phenomenon (no more than 4 or 5 years old) that's turned into a tradition. I would really doubt if it had anything to do with the Catholic schools though. As Mike said, the fish is thrown at every home game (unless they get shut out, of course), and even some road games. I'm sure that if UNH had made it to Boston Garden last year that they would have found a way to sneak it in there, too. Maybe Jim Love can shed some light on this. You'd think that any self-respecting member of Friends of UNH Hockey would know the story behind this :-)
