First game of the series:

Clarkson 1 1 5
LSSU 0 3 0

Listening to it on the radio, it sounded like LSSU did a really good job
of bottling up Clarkson's strong power play, going something like 1 for 6
this evening. Clarkson scored in the first, to go ahead 1-0. LSSU
came out in the 2nd and scored 3 goals on 4 shots. Clarkson's goalie,
Chris Rogles was pulled, and replace with Jason Currie, who held
LSSU scoreless from there on. Clarkson mustered its second goal,
to come within 1 late in the second. (This game seemed to go very much
like Clarkson's second game against Wisconsin). In the 3rd, Clarkson
seemed to be fired up, they scored the even mark goal and then the
fun started. Both teams trying hard to get the go ahead, LSSU sounded
like they were putting lots of pressure on ther Knights when Hugo
Belanger broke out of the Clarkson zone and went in on LSSU's goalie and
put it behind him for the go ahead goal with around 6 mins to go. Within
the next 30 secs or so, Clarkson's Mark Green and Craig Conroy drove into
the LSSU zone and put the insurance goal in. LSSU pressured alot all
the way down to the end. With the goalie pulled with 1 min to go,
Clarkson scored twice more, on the empty net, to put this one away
for good.

Overall, it sounded like LSSU played stronger at times, but got hit
with a few too many penalties and couldn't really muster enough good
shots against Currie.

It should be a very interesting game tomorrow nite.

Congrats to the other teams winning tonite, Maine, BU and Mich.

to rub others noses in it.)
