I didn't have much to be thankful for this past weekend as I witnessed Bowdoin get off to their worst start in over ten years. With losses to University of Connecticut and American International College, Bowdoin drops to 1-3 (0-3 in their division). _________________________ Friday, November 23, 1990 ------------------------- Bowdoin - 1 0 0 - 1 UConn - 2 0 1 - 3 On a foggy ice surface in Storrs, CT, Connecticut defeated Bowdoin by a score of 3-1. Brad Chin began the scoring in the first period giving Bowdoin an early 1-0 lead. Geoffrey Murphy tied it for UConn at 6:26 of the first off one of many dangerous rebounds left in the slot. Brian Sutherland pushed in the game winning goal to finish the first period scoring. Bowdoin failed to capitalize on a 5 on 3 advantage while UConn blew a two on none scoring drive. The only other goal in the game came at 4:42 of the third as Evan Franklin iced the game for the Huskies.
