When Minnesota played at North Dakota last season (or the season before)
   someone threw a live chicken on the ice. Now, they are fond of hurling
   animals rinkward in Grand Forks, but this was somewhat unusual.

	Not that unusual.  In addition to the traditional gophers
	and seives, a live chicken made it out on the ice in '72.
	(Disappointing, too.  It "froze" instead of wreaking havoc,
	but it did react appropriately when the refs grabbed it --
	leaving them a nice little present that they had to shovel.)
 
	(Doesn't do much for the game, though.  Frozen gophers were
	much less disruptive ... it was a down year for UND hockey).
