Bowling Green's Falcons were victorious over the MSU Spartans last night
6-4 in a thrilling match.

The Falcons jumped out to an early 3-1 lead and then added second and
third period goals to go ahead 5-2. BG was lead by the strong play of
their forwards and the solid defense backing up sophomore goaltender
Angelo Libertucci. Kerry Russell paced the Spartans with both of
their tallies.

Late in the third period MSU responded with two goals. Senior speedster
Shawn Heaphy had one of those Spartan goals. MSU pulled their senior
Hobey Baker candidate goalie Jason Muzatti for the last minute and put on
a ferocious attack which was finally surrendered when Peter Holmes
scored his second goal of the night into the open Spartan net with just
17 seconds left.

The Spartans are now winless at home (0-2-2) on the year and must collect
themselves for a tough match at Bowling Green this evening.
