Huskies athletes of the week
 
     Senior right wing Kelly Hurd came up with a hat trick last Satruday
during Tech's win over Western Collegiate Hockey Association foe and
nationally ranked North Dakota.  Hurd's three goals all came in the
second period of the 6-2 win over the Sioux.  The win marks the first
conference victory for the Huskies this season.  The Huskies are now in
seventh in the WCHA with a 1-4-1 record.
