Call for Abstracts is Now Open!

 

The Northeast Arc Users Group (NEARC) Spring Conference is an annual, one-day conference packed with professional development and networking opportunities for all levels of GIS users. The Spring NEARC Host Committee invites you to submit a presentation for the in-person event at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

 

Deadline to submit: Monday, March 18th, 11:59 PM

 

Spring NEARC Conference presentations, workshops, and posters are an opportunity to share experience, expertise, and knowledge with colleagues and offer solutions for successful use of GIS.

All attendees, including private sector attendees and vendors, are encouraged to submit presentations or workshops. Submissions can showcase a project, research, process, experience, expertise, management, or best practices related to GIS. Marketing presentations may be given by reserving a vendor booth.

 

The following presentation types are being accepted:

·    Oral Presentation (30 minutes, includes 5-8 minutes of Q&A and presenter transition)

·    Hands-On Workshop (90 minutes)

·    Panel Presentation/Discussion (90 minutes) Digital Visual Presentation (Online posters, story maps, or other interactive multi-media that are exhibited for informal browsing)

·    Poster Presentation (4ft x 4ft maximum size and must include a 5-minute lightning talk)

 

To submit an abstract, review the presentation guidelines and submission procedures, then use the link below to submit a proposal.

All presenters are required to register to attend the conference. Student presenters attend free of charge; professional presenters must pay to attend. Limited scholarships will be available to our NEARC community members - keep an eye out for more information on how (and when) to apply for a scholarship to attend!

In Celebration of Black History Month, NEARC invites you to explore some of the History Trail story maps from around the Northeast. This event will take us on a journey from Hartford's Black Heroes Trail to the African American Heritage Trail in Vermont

A Toast to ArcMap 

Come celebrate (or mourn) the end of an era! That's right, we’re toasting to the sun setting on our beloved ArcMap. Come share your favorite projects and error messages with friends and colleagues in the Boston area.
