There is a new opportunity for you and your program to get (more) involved with celebrating First-Generation College
Day. MEEOA has some experts on getting and using these type of funds. Our First Generation Day Chair, Lisa Black and her awesome and talented committee members are standing by to assist you as think about your own creative, and unique ways to celebrate. They
also have some ideas of their own to spur you on. But just to get your wheels turning…

JUST OPENED: Apply for a $1,000.00 grant to acknowledge the achievements of your first-generation college students this fall.
Each year, we're pleased to award grants to select COE-member institutions to aid them in reaching more first-generation college students or
graduates; engaging more stakeholders; launching new first-gen-specific events or initiatives; or providing additional services around First-Generation College
Celebration Day on Wednesday, November 8.
This year, institutions may apply for up to $1,000.00 in unrestricted funds. Individuals may also volunteer
to review submissions to gain a unique insight into the national landscape of
#CelebrateFirstGen efforts and aid us in increasing the reach of promising celebratory programming across institutional types.
